Original May 1921 issue of As You Were, Cornell University's R.O.T.C. publication (Vol. 1, No. 3). It was launched during the early post-WWI period. This appears to be an extremely rare piece of Cornelliana. Content is related to Cornell R.O.T.C. life, including student news, humor, and the poem “The Great Victory” by Raymond Floyd Howes. (Howes went on to write several books about Cornell.) The cover illustration is signed “Jos. Nobile, Co. E,” apparently by Cornell student Joseph Charles Nobile, who is documented in Cornell University's 1923–24 register as an architecture student from New York City. This piece appears consistent with an early stencil/mimeograph-type duplication process, although the exact printing method is unknown. Please note this is extremely fragile.
