Panoramic view of Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul) depicting the Ottoman conquest of the city in 1453. Although the scene is largely imaginative rather than geographically accurate, it is considered the earliest surviving printed view representing Constantinople from this period.
This illustration appears in the renowned Nuremberg Chronicle, one of the most lavishly illustrated incunabula ever produced.
