Pterodom and Illusion Softworks released Vietcong in 2003, putting players in command of a Green Beret sergeant leading a mixed U.S. and South Vietnamese Special Forces unit through the jungles and tunnels of 1967 Vietnam. The game earned strong reviews for its tunnel warfare sequences and squad-based AI, and it moved over one million copies worldwide. Gathering of Developers published the North American release under its Take-Two umbrella before the label folded in 2004, making physical big box copies a finite supply.
This copy includes both installation discs, the manual subtitled Your Essential Guide to Jungle Warfare, and a small art card. The box carries a $9.99 Electronics Boutique price sticker on the front and a tear along the top of the rear panel. Both discs show clean play surfaces. The ESRB Teen rating is intact on box and disc labels.
