Antique Silver Plated & Gilded Chatelaine Thimble Holder

Nickel Silver Thimble * Circa 1890s

This unusual chatelaine thimble bucket has full blown flowers around the sides, pierced so the velvet lining below shows through. The flowers are gilded and the leaves are silver. I think it's been plated to accent the design. The chain and ring at the top are to attach it to a chatelaine. The condition is excellent with no dents, loss or other damage. It measures 2 1/2" long from the bottom to the top of the chain.

Inside is a nickel silver thimble with a scrolling lower band. It is marked a size 4 (English) but is about an American size 7 (14.5 mm diameter opening). The condition is excellent, in round with no holes or other damage.

I stand behind everything that I offer and guarantee that it is exactly as presented.
