Antique German Stollwerck trade card featuring a flamingo, issued for Gebr. Stollwerck chocolate and cocoa products. The series/card detail is printed as Album 5, Gruppe 201, No. II � Flamingo. The front shows a pink flamingo standing in shallow water among reeds, beneath the heading Stollwerck-Chokolade. The long vertical format emphasises the bird�s legs, curved neck and bright plumage. The reverse is headed Album 5, Gruppe 201, No. II and gives a German description of the Flamingo, with Gebr. Stollwerck factory locations including K�ln, Berlin, Pressburg and New-York. A good natural-history card for collectors of Stollwerck advertising, bird cards, flamingo subjects and decorative German chromolithographic ephemera. Condition shows visible age toning, light soiling, softened corners, edge wear, small handling marks and general surface wear from age and storage. The printed image and main reverse text remain generally legible. Condition as described.
