M-Code Interface & Machine Setup

If operating the HA5C control unit alongside a non-Haas machine (or an older mill without a built-in 4th-axis drive):

  1. Remote M-Code Trigger: Connect the 4-pin relay cable from your CNC mill's M-code output to the rear of the Haas controller.

  2. Cycle Execution:

    • CNC sends M-code signal to close relay - Haas controller executes programmed rotation step - Haas controller signals "Fin" (Finish) back to CNC to resume machining.

  3. Manual / Semi-Auto Mode: The front keypad allows standalone indexing without any CNC connection (great for dedicated drilling/milling jigs).
