Incredible Ian Dury SIGNED 12" Spasticus Autisticus Vinyl + Autographed 1987 Envelope Provenance

This is a remarkable piece of British music history. The 1981 12" single of Ian Dury's groundbreaking, provocative track Spasticus Autisticus (Polydor POSP X 285) features a deeply personal, poetic inscription handwritten by Ian Dury to a close personal connection named Denise.

​Sleeve Inscription reads: "Denise is the treasure of constant sweet heart-ache. Love from Ian Dury x"

• Autograph & Text: Written boldly in black ink on the clean, white right-hand margin of the sleeve.
• Jacket: Displays vintage water marking along the outer margins (please see photos for exact cosmetic condition) but remains completely structurally sound.

Included in this lot is the ultimate piece of supporting evidence: a typed envelope sent directly to Ian Dury at his well-documented 1980s address: 54 Digby Mansions, Hammersmith Bridge Road, London. It features a clear 1987 London postmark.

On the reverse of this envelope, Ian has personally written an additional signed note: "Denise, Thanks for looking after us. Ian Dury x".
