The tooth is unpolished and of exceptional quality, making it a highly sought-after collectable for enthusiasts of dinosaurs and fossils. Tooth fossils from the Iguanodon mantellisaurus. The Iguanodon was a herbivorous dinosaur that grew up to 10m in height. First discovered from a tooth found in Sussex by Gideon Mantell, in 1825. This tooth was also found in Sussex from the Wealden, Hastings Beds which carry deposits from the Early (lower) Cretaceous 143-139 million years ago.
