Beautiful 1920s–1930s ornate gilt picture frame showcasing exceptional early 20th-century craftsmanship. Featuring an elegant pierced floral basket crest, embossed decorative borders, and its original gilt finish, this substantial frame offers timeless Old World elegance and wonderful architectural presence.

Adding to its charm are traces of the original hand-painted polychrome finish, with soft hints of green, rose, and warm golden tones remaining within the floral crest. These surviving painted accents enhance the frame’s authentic period character and beautifully complement its naturally aged patina.

The frame measures approximately 14½ inches tall from the top of the floral crest to the bottom edge and 11 inches wide at its widest point. It currently accommodates artwork measuring approximately 10” x 12”, making it a wonderful candidate for displaying an antique family photograph, wedding portrait, heirloom artwork, needlework, cherished keepsake, or your own favorite print.

This piece retains its original finish, which I have only dry brushed to remove loose surface dust, preserving its authentic character and naturally aged appearance. I have also elected not to remove the original print or the original glass, leaving the frame exactly as it has been preserved through the years for the next owner to enjoy or customize as they wish.

Expected vintage wear includes scattered finish loss, light dings, and age-related character consistent with nearly a century of display. Photos are part of the condition reporting and should be reviewed carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
