Vintage Halloween Witch Woven Basket Primitive Folk Art Decoration

Unusual Halloween decorative basket featuring a wonderfully expressive primitive-style witch attached to the front.

The basket is constructed of black-painted woven splint material with a tall integrated carrying handle. The witch features a dimensional hand-painted face, natural-fiber/straw-style hair, and an oversized pointed black witch hat.

The combination of the woven black basket, exaggerated witch face, straw hair, and distressed hat gives this piece a fantastic primitive folk-art Halloween appearance.

Pre-owned condition with visible surface and finish wear throughout. The witch hat shows substantial rubbing, finish loss, creasing, and edge wear. The natural-fiber hair has some fraying and unevenness. The painted basket shows scattered surface wear. The woven basket structure appears generally intact.
