This Primitive 19th Century Rhode Island Farmhouse Wood Carved Handle Bread Knife is a unique and authentic antique piece from New England. The medium-sized knife features a carved wooden handle in a medium wood tone, typical of the naive and primitive style of the era. Made in the United States between 1800-1899, this original piece exudes a rustic charm and craftsmanship that adds a touch of history and authenticity to any collection or display.

Purchased this in the 1970s from an elderly woman at the Briggs Farm in East Greenwich, Rhode Island.  She had it hidden because she was afraid her grandchildren would find it and it is sharp.  The farm itself is over 300 years old.  Blade has been protected for many decades in a cardboard wrapping secured with copper wire.  It will be sent to you, as found.

The knife is 11 1/2 inches long.

The blade is 1 3/4  inches wide.

Wonderful untouched patina, normal slight wear on the metal area.

Handle has hole for what was probably a leather loop.

It is in great used condition for it's age and use.

What wonderful Rare antique bread knife to add to your collection.
