This is the 1948 Atwood (Atwood Manufacturing; Bill Atwood, Burbank, California) Super Champion .630 spark ignition model airplane engine. This engine turns over smoothly with good compression and has a nice Champion VR-2 racing spark plug (the timer/point operate correctly). Bill Atwood designed many superb engines over his career, including his famous Tee Dee for Leroy Cox. Add this to your American spark ignition model engine collection. I am west coast and even just 1 ounce USPS Ground Rate to the east coast now costs $8.40 (and that's the discounted commercial rate!) and then eBay charges an additional 10% of shipping charges.
