Description
Fantastic Persian studio glass jar or lidded container from the 1960s/70s. A hand blown piece as shown by the ground pontil at base, and lack of casting seams. The glass is a great, deep blue hue with a nice degree of transparency. The exterior body of the vase features a concentric abstract applique, and below this glass of body has a crackle effect. It has a very organic form; slightly wonky but sits perfectly flat. Weighty at 1.352kg.

This piece is really unusual, and has great quality in style and craftsmanship. It is unsigned. Nice and sturdy at 650 grams weight.

Condition
Very good vintage condition. No chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. Consistent with being hand-blown, there are bubble-like inclusions within the thick glass of body, and a couple that have textured the surface. There is one spot where the glass has been scraped, which you can feel to the exterior (As seen in photo 2. It has some surface scratches and wear, commensurate with age and use.
Please look at the photos carefully as they form part of our description.
