Title: Vintage 1980s Riverhead Headless Bass Guitar (Status Style) – Made in Japan
Description:
Up for sale is a rare, vintage 1980s Riverhead Headless Bass Guitar. Built by the legendary Headway factory in Japan, this instrument captures the iconic aesthetic and ergonomic design of the era’s premium Status and Steinberger basses, but with the warm resonance of solid wood construction. The hot pick ups can be very suprising in there sound, an with the advantage of being non active no batteries needed, I have a status and a spitfire bass from Bernie Goodfellow and this beauty keeps up with them in sound quality. as you can see it has bee fully serviced and set up not by me but by a qualitfied litheier, brabd new string as comes with locking pins for your strap or you can put the original ones on as it will come with those, there is some marks and a little buckle rash on the back but the luthier told me these can be touched up cheaply if needed. A lovely 80s sound at a fraction of the cost of a status, it was my go to practice bass as the feel and sound were great. Comes with a new gig bag.
It is perfectly balanced, incredibly lightweight, and eliminates neck dive entirely.
