Louis Prima recorded this set live at Harrah's Club, Lake Tahoe, capturing his full touring unit: Sam Butera and the Witnesses on the bandstand and a freshly introduced Gia Maione on vocals. Capitol released it as T-1797 in mono, with the stereo counterpart carrying the ST prefix. This pressing features the classic Capitol rainbow label, which the label used on LPs through the early 1960s before transitioning to the orange-yellow target label around 1969. The sleeve shows honest shelf wear with a split inner sleeve and some corner rounding, but the record itself grades VG+ with strong surface integrity. Side two leads with Lady of Spain and closes with Go Back Where You Stayed Last Night. Prima recorded this album during a peak commercial run that produced several live Capitol titles. Produced by Voyle Gilmore, who also helmed sessions for Frank Sinatra and the Kingston Trio at Capitol.
