Antique, 19th century, black glass button with a recessed embossed design depicting a lovely cottage scene. The entire molded part is heavily gold lustered. Self-shanked with deep thread grooves.  It measures about 5/8" in diameter; NBS size small. Excellent condition.  A really striking and collectible antique button!
