Sony MDS-JB930 QS MiniDisc Recorder Type-R Black Fully Serviced 230V

The Sony MDS-JB930 QS is one of the most respected MiniDisc recorders ever produced and a superb example of Sony’s digital audio engineering. Manufactured in Japan in 1999 as part of the prestigious QS – Quality Standard series, it combines outstanding construction quality with advanced recording, playback and editing capabilities.

This model features Sony’s acclaimed ATRAC DSP Type-R processing system, designed to deliver highly accurate MiniDisc recordings with excellent detail, dynamics and musicality. Its sophisticated Current Pulse D/A Converter and 20-bit A/D conversion provide clean, transparent and natural sound reproduction with extremely low distortion.

The MDS-JB930 offers comprehensive professional-style editing functions, including track division, combination, movement, deletion and disc or track naming. Its front-panel keyboard connection allows titles to be entered quickly and conveniently using a compatible computer keyboard.

Additional features include Time Machine Recording, Pitch Control, selectable digital filters, CD-Text compatibility, timer recording and playback, headphone output with independent volume control, and Sony’s Control A1-II system interface. These features make the JB930 one of the most complete and desirable full-size MiniDisc decks produced by Sony.

Connectivity is exceptionally versatile, with analog RCA input and output, two optical digital inputs, one coaxial digital input, optical and coaxial digital outputs, a headphone connection and Control A1-II terminals. It can therefore be integrated easily into both traditional Hi-Fi systems and fully digital audio installations.
