Item Description
This vintage Kodachrome slide shows Scotty Creek Lodge along the Alaska Highway, identified by the large “Scotty Creek Lodge” sign above the entrance. The scene captures the lodge’s green roadside buildings fronted by a wide gravel parking area, with a cafe sign at the entrance and several period automobiles parked across the front. One vehicle appears to be a black-and-white RCMP car, adding an especially strong northern highway travel detail to the image. The combination of lodge architecture, parked cars, and spruce-lined setting gives the slide a classic mid-century Alcan travel atmosphere.
