This vintage Kodachrome slide captures a whimsical storybook scene, very likely at the original Santa’s Village in Skyforest near Lake Arrowhead, California. A woman and child pose on a small wooden bridge beside white castle-like turret structures set over a pond or moat, with a black swan visible in the water at lower right. Behind them are brightly colored fantasy buildings, tall pine trees, and other park visitors moving through the scene. The fairytale architecture, water feature, wooded mountain setting, and family-park atmosphere all strongly match the early Santa’s Village theme-park environment.
