Description
Fantastic Persian studio glass vase from the 1960s/70s. A hand blown piece as shown by the ground pontil at base, and lack of casting seams. The glass is transparent, but not clear; it has a stormy grey-ish sheen and a sweeping purple streak which travels around the body from base to rim. The exterior neck of the vase features a dark purple abstract applique. This vase is really unusual, and has great quality in style and craftsmanship. It is unsigned. Nice and sturdy at 650 grams weight.

Condition
Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. Consistent with being hand-blown, there are bubble-like inclusions within the thick glass of body, and a couple that have textured the surface. There are scratches to base as expected. Any light surface wear is commensurate with age and use.
