This is an antique repoussé copper plaque with semi nude women.
I am uncertain as to exactly how old this is, but I’m sensing it dates sometime from the late 19th century or early 20th century, circa 1900s or so.
The piece measures 6 3/8 inches high x 8 3/8 inches wide (16.2 cm x 21.3 cm), though the sides are curved in a little.
I would think this was originally in a frame. I purchased it just as it is though.
The women all appear to be relaxing in a forest setting, though there is a small building in the background.
The detail on this is just incredible.
I don’t know if it was made from a mold or was hand done. I’m leaning towards it being a mold as the work is so intricate. Please use your judgment.
The exterior has bent areas going around. The scene itself though is in good condition with just some very light wear to it.
It weighs a little under 4 ounces (110 g).
