Original large mounted photograph (12 × 21 cm) showing a Russian Imperial Cossack unit during World War I, circa 1915–1916.

The image depicts more than 150 Cossack soldiers and officers, many wearing campaign medals. A particularly unusual feature is the young boy seated prominently in the front row, dressed in military clothing. He may have been a "Son of the Regiment", a regimental ward, or another child closely associated with the unit, making this photograph especially interesting to collectors of Imperial Russian military history.

The photograph is mounted on its original card backing and is in overall good vintage condition with expected age-related wear.
