Original hand-painted oil painting depicting the Pietà, with the Virgin Mary mourning Christ while holding the crown of thorns. The removed crucifixion nails rest beside Christ, creating a powerful devotional composition.

Painted directly on a vintage hardboard (wallboard) panel believed to date to the 1960s. The painting is unsigned, and I have not been able to identify another example of this exact composition.

The expressive brushwork, muted color palette, and confident modeling of the faces suggest this was created by a skilled artist rather than produced as a commercial print or reproduction.
