This charming hand-painted wood biplane ornament comes from Midwest Importers of Cannon Falls, a Minnesota-based giftware company that built a strong reputation through the 1980s and 1990s for folk-art-inspired holiday ornaments and Americana collectibles. The fuselage uses a clothespin-style wood body painted red, while blue wood panels decorated with white stars form the upper and lower wings. A small paper banner reading LIBERTY trails from the tail, and a red hanging cord loops from the upper wing. The white wire struts between the wings remain intact. Wheels are present and intact. Paint shows minimal wear with no chips to the stars or fuselage. The ornament measures approximately 6 inches tip to tail per the ruler shown. A fun piece for Fourth of July displays or patriotic holiday trees.
