This set of three reproduction prints pulls from two well-regarded Victorian animal painters. Wilson Hepple (1854-1937) was a Newcastle-based artist celebrated for his intimate, closely observed studies of cats and kittens. His 1911-dated work appears here in crisp reproduction. The second artist represented is Emile Munier, the French academic painter whose sentimental compositions of children with animals earned him wide popularity in the late 19th century. The third print depicts a girl with a dog and kitten in a breakfast-in-bed scene. All three prints come from a quality art book, page 98 of which carries an Aristotle friendship quote under the section heading "Making Friends." The images retain vivid color with no foxing, tears, or notable creasing. White borders remain clean. These suit vintage gallery wall arrangements or framing projects equally well.
