This is a pair of vintage lace clip–on boudoir lampshades.

I would estimate they date circa 1940s or 1950s.

They each measure 8 inches tall (20.3 cm). The top sections measure 5 3/4 inches wide and the bottoms 10 1/2 inches wide (14.6 cm, 26.7 cm).

The lace on each of these is in remarkably good condition. There are a few stains on the exterior of one of them. There is some staining on the inside silk or satin lining of this one. This shows through a little when you hold it up to a light. That one also has a tiny tear inside. The other one has light water staining, which oh so slightly shows with a lightbulb. Still, I don’t think it’s all that bad.

The metal pieces with the clips each have surface rust, though this will not affect anything.

They’re quite a beautiful pair!
