This is a vintage signed impasto oil painting on canvas of a nighttime urban scene.

There is no frame.

I can’t be certain, but I would estimate it dates circa 1940s or 1950s.

The painting measures 24 1/4 inches high x 28 1/4 inches wide (61.6 cm x 71.7 cm).

I purchased this just as it is. I believe it originally had a frame, as you can see lines from it going around the exterior. However, at some point someone hung it up just the way it is much later on because they added two screws and wire. There is also a piece of fabric going around the sides that was stapled on.

There is something about this painting that just hit me. The colors are beautiful, the parked cars look old and the painting just has a great feeling about it.

It is signed on the back MARCIA GLICKMAN.

There is quite a bit of crackling to the surface. There are scattered areas where the paint has chipped off. At the bottom just to the left of the middle, the canvas is indented.
