This is an antique Japanese Chataku (tea saucer) dating from the early Showa era (c.1926). It has deep relief images of dragons. It is made of hand crafted pewter with a copper overlay.. Having been used very little for nearly a century and used lovingly, and with the exception of a few minor signs of past use (see enlarged pictures ) It remains in very good condition. It measures 4 1/2" long by by 2 3/4 wide by 1/2" deep (11 x 7 x 1 cm).
It is signed on the back by the Japanese artist.
