This antique teek hardwood mandalay Buddha statue is a stunning piece of art from rangoon burma or Myanmar. The statue is made of high-quality teek and is estimated to be from the 1900s. The statue has probably been kept in an outside spirit house, hence the condition of the gilding, which is normal considering it's age. The intricate details of the statue are a testament to the skill of the artist who made it. the concentration or trance like expression on the Buddha's face is deep and i like to look and wander what bliss he is achieving.
