A good example of an antique silver capstan style inkwell complete with its original glass liner. It is a stylish and good quality piece with a large oval weighted base and a hinged lid. 

It is hallmarked for A & J Zimmerman Ltd, Birmingham, 1913.

It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are no major damages, just some faint surface marks, a few light scratches and minor dinks but nothing detrimental. There are a few small nibbles around the rim of the glass inkwell but no major cracks. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
