An antique working Flutina with Mother-of-Pearl keys.

An attractive & genuinely old Flutina style button accordion, believed to be from the mid to late 19 th century.

The instrument features mother-of-pearl key touches, decorative silver/silver plate fittings, traditional push & pull diatonic action & original style mechanical linkages consistent with early European flutinas.

Condition & Function:
- Bellows are air tight & hold air well.
- Melody keys function & produce sound.
- Action is responsive & produces sound.
- Bass end is light in tone ( typical of early flutina instrument rather than later melodium ).
- 3 mother-of-pearl key touches are damaged but remain largely functional.
- 1 linkage pivot has had an old repair using piano wire ( stable & working).
- No obvious structural damage to the body.

Comes with externally renovated original wooden storage box.

There is clear & honest age-related wear throughout including hand wear marks, surface patina, & small surface imperfections consistent with a well used 19th C instrument. It has not been overly restored & retains its original character.

This is NOT a modern reproduction or decorative piece - it is a functional early accordion suitable for collectors, restorers or period folk musicians.

Sold as an antique  musical instrument; no modern servicing has been undertaken.
