A really interesting, and unusual, House of Hardy and MARCO (Modern Arms Company) hybrid custom 9' fly fishing rod. For lines #6. Excellent build quality and beautifully finished. Essentialy a Hardy rod but with a very classy gold tone MARCO patented Modalock down-locking reel seat. Lined stripper guide and snaked intermediates. Spigot joint. What is really interesting is the presence of both the MARCO and Hardy decals (any theories appreciated). To my knowledge there was never an official collaboration between the two companies. The rod is in superb condition, as seen in the pictures. Comes with a Hardy branded slip bag. I don't think another rod like it will crop up any time soon.
