What You're Getting
This is something you won't find on the shelf of any retro shop: a brand-new-build Nintendo Entertainment System in a crystal-clear case, so you can see every chip, wire and spring inside while you play.
This is NOT a re-shelled refurb. It's a ground-up new build on a freshly manufactured motherboard and power module — only the parts that genuinely benefit from being original Nintendo (the cartridge tray, controller ports, CPU and PPU) are, and everything else is brand new.
What Went Into The Build
► SMTendo V1.5 motherboard by Zaxour — a modern SMD reimagining of Redherring32's open-source OpenTendo recreation of the original 1985 front-loader NES board. Freshly manufactured, professionally assembled, fitted with genuine PAL NES chips (RP2A07 CPU and RP2C07 PPU). Electrically, it is the real thing.
► NES Revival Classic "RCA" Edition V3.1c power and AV module by Merlin Shaw — a complete redesign of the original NES power/RF board. Cleaner picture and sound than a stock NES, with composite video and audio via RCA jacks. No RF interference.
► Brand-new 72-pin cartridge connector — no worn pins, no blinking screen, no fiddling to get games to boot. Cartridges load reliably, first time.
► Genuine Nintendo loading mechanism — the front-loading cartridge tray and both controller ports are original NES parts. Authentic feel, fully compatible with official NES controllers and accessories.
► Bitfunx crystal-clear shell — precision injection-moulded 1:1 replica of the iconic NES "toaster" design in durable clear ABS, with a custom red "Nintendo Entertainment System" logo and clear POWER / RESET buttons with custom red lettering and illuminated power LED.
► Region free — unlike a stock NES, PAL and NTSC cartridges both play. Tested and fully working: photos show it running Super Mario Bros. 3 from an original cart.
