This is an antique velvet doll chaise lounge or fainting couch.

I would estimate it dates sometime from the turn of the century, circa 1900s or so. It could be a little before or a little after that.

Overall, the piece measures 10 1/2 inches tall x 20 1/2 inches long x 9 inches wide (26.7 cm, 52 cm, 22.8 cm).

It’s very rare that I find one of these.

It’s not in the best condition, but it is still a very solid piece.

The velvet has scattered staining, discoloration and a small tear on the side. There are also some small tears around the legs. One of the legs has two chips at the top and another one has one chipped off piece at the top. That leg is also oh so slightly loose, but still holding very well. The black fabric on the bottom is torn and tattered.

Even given its issues, it still has a great look about it.

It weighs 5 lbs. 14 oz. (2.67 kg).
