This is an antique early 20th century painted copper wall mounted toilet paper holder.

Given its Art Deco feeling, I would estimate it dates circa 1920s or 1930s.

The overall piece measures 2 1/2 inches tall x 5 1/2 inches wide (6.3 cm x 14 cm). It protrudes out from the wall 3 1/2 inches (8.9 cm).

I am sensing this was handmade by a metal worker. It has a bit of a crude feeling about it and yet it is very attractive. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if you like this type of look, you will love this. If you like things in very good condition, it may not be for you.

Most of it is made of copper and it looks like it was originally painted a light yellow color. It was then repainted, though many years ago, white. Much of this has chipped off, giving it what I think is a great look.

The roller is made of wood and was originally painted black. It looks like it may have gotten all of those white dots when they painted the rest of it white. Either way, it goes really well with this.

I have a feeling most of this paint chipped off as a result of taking the roller off. You have to pull it a little in order to get the roller off and this could have caused stress to the piece.

It weighs a little under 5 ounces (134 g).
