This is an antique late 19th century Victorian punch paper sampler titled ‘Home Sweet Home’.

It is in its original Adirondack frame, though it is missing the leaves on each corner.

I would estimate it dates circa 1880s or 1890s.

The frame measures 13 3/4 inches high x 26 1/4 inches wide (34.9 cm x 66.7 cm). The sampler measures 8 1/2 inches high x 21 inches wide (21.6 cm x 53.3 cm).

The piece has a couple of dangling threads, such as on the S in the top left corner and the e in Sweet. There might be a couple of missing threads on the H at the center, yet that might just be the way it was made originally. For the most part, it looks intact.

The punched paper has water stains along the very top and bottom, probably caused by water leaking in when someone cleaned the glass.

The frame is missing the four leaves at the corners. There is chipping to the gold liner in the top left and bottom right corners.

There are a few missing nails in the back, so I reinforced it with framing staples.

Oddly enough, the person put the screw eyes and wire towards the bottom, as opposed to the top where they are usually located.

It weighs 3 pounds (1.364 kg).
