This is a vintage Mid Century Modern Mexican gold and burnt orange carved and painted wood frame.

I would estimate it dates circa 1960s or 1970s.

The overall frame measures 24 1/4 inches x 28 1/4 inches (61.6 cm x 71.7 cm). The back opening size measures 18 1/8 inches x 22 1/8 inches (46 cm x 56.2 cm). The molding width measures 3 1/4 inches (8.2 cm).

I believe this frame was hand carved though there is a chance it was done by machine. Either way, it has a beautiful look about it.

It is marked in the back but all I can really make out is MEXICO.

The frame is in very good condition, with just the lightest of age related wear.

There is no glass.

It weighs 4 pounds 2 1/2 ounces (1.886 kg).

It has what I always look for in frames, that wonderful old world look!
