This is an antique black painted tin boiler/canner/wash tub with a lid.

I am uncertain as to exactly how old this is, but I do believe it dates from the 19th century. Please use your judgment.

The overall piece measures 8 1/2 inches tall x 13 1/2 inches wide x 7 1/4 inches long (21.6 cm x 34.3 cm x 18.4 cm).

From what I understand these were made in different sizes. Does this size mean it was used for dolls? I’m really just not sure.

The piece has scattered dents to the surface. There is also scattered missing black paint. The bottom has surface rust. The interior also has quite a bit of surface rust. I held the piece right up to the light to show that there are also some tiny holes in the bottom. Still, it feels very sturdy.

It weighs 1 lb. 13 oz. (824 g).
