A charming vintage Le Cheminant Swiss wristwatch dating from the 1960s, powered by the reliable A. Schild (AS) 1803 17 jewel manual wind movement.

The watch is currently running well and features the desirable AS 1803 calibre with semi-quickset date, central sweep seconds and Incabloc shock protection.

The original silver sunburst dial has developed an attractive even patina over the decades, giving the watch plenty of vintage character. There are age-related marks to the dial and some scratches to the acrylic crystal, including a more noticeable mark around the 1 o’clock area, all visible in the photographs. The chrome-plated case also shows wear consistent with age.

It is fitted to a period-correct leather strap which remains perfectly usable, although it does show wear and is suitable for wrists up to approximately 19cm.
