Vintage 1960s Howard Miller Model 622287 large Space Age wall‑mount flip clock. Classic mid‑century modern styling with bold black/white flip numerals and a clean beige case. This model features the signature front red indicator light that blinks every second — a charming detail of these early battery‑powered flip clocks and a perfect fit for Space Age industrial design.
Clock is fully working: flips smoothly, keeps accurate time, and the red light pulses as it should. Runs on two D‑cell batteries (not included). Inside the battery compartment is the original on/off switch, also functioning properly.
The clock measures 12" wide, 8" tall, and 5" deep from front to back. The back still retains all four original rubber bumpers, which help stabilize the clock when mounted. Although designed for wall use, it can also be used freestanding thanks to its deep, stable base — great for desks, shelves, or display cabinets.
The front clear cover shows light scuffs/scratches from age, and the front plastic has some yellowing, typical for 60s Howard Miller pieces. There is a bit of dust/debris inside the front window, visible only up close. The bottom edge has two small cracks, noted for accuracy — these do not affect stability, operation, or mounting. Overall, the clock presents beautifully and displays wonderfully whether hung or freestanding.
A video of the clock operating is included so you can see the flip action and light indicator in real time.
