Watch Overview

Offered here is a vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust wristwatch, reference 1601, dating to circa 1963, featuring a desirable folded-link Jubilee bracelet.

This Swiss-made timepiece is powered by the Rolex Caliber 1560 automatic movement, featuring a sweep seconds and a quick-set date function. Certified Superlative Chronometer (COSC), adjusted to five positions and temperature, and operates at 18,000 vibrations per hour with an approximate 44-hour power reserve.

It features a classic silver-tone dial with applied baton hour markers and matching hands. A fine minute track surrounds the dial, while the date aperture at 3 o’clock is magnified by the Cyclops lens for enhanced legibility.

Housed in a 36mm stainless steel Oyster case with an elegant fluted white gold bezel, screw-down case back, and signed screw-down crown. The watch is fitted with a stainless steel Jubilee bracelet.

The bracelet is a folded-link Jubilee, and based on construction and markings, it is consistent with examples manufactured by Gay Frères, one of the most prestigious Swiss bracelet makers of the era, known for producing bracelets for high-end brands such as Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, and Jaeger-LeCoultre.

Fully inspected and authenticated by our in-house watchmaker, this timepiece is running and ready to wear.

About Vintage Timepieces

Vintage watches often run smaller than today’s standards. Men’s wristwatches typically measure between 29–36mm (excluding the crown), while women’s models—especially from the early 1900s to the 1970s—can be considerably smaller. We encourage you to review the measurements provided and reach out with any sizing questions.

Our collection features timepieces that are 20 to 100 years old. Naturally, they may show honest signs of age such as light scratches, patina, or worn straps—features that often add to their unique character and charm. Unless noted as recently serviced, vintage watches may eventually require routine maintenance to keep accurate time. If you’re looking for quartz-level precision, a modern watch may be a better fit.

Pre-Owned Condition

We offer a mix of brand new and pre-owned watches. Pre-owned pieces might have some cosmetic wear, which we always describe clearly. Take a close look at the photos and don’t hesitate to message us if you have any questions before buying.

We do not use Photoshop to hide imperfections—only to clean up the background. What you see is what you’ll get. We take great care to present our watches honestly and transparently, and we’re proud to stand behind every piece we sell.
