Unlike PCIe switch cards, the ST5118 connects each SSD directly to the motherboard, allowing every drive to operate at its full PCIe lane width when installed in a compatible system.

Your motherboard BIOS must support:

Without bifurcation support, one drive, or possibly none of the installed SSDs, may be detected.
