The SUNWEIT ST5118 is a PCIe 5.0 x16 to four-port M.2 NVMe adapter designed for motherboards that support PCIe lane bifurcation.

Unlike PCIe switch cards, the ST5118 connects each SSD directly to the motherboard, allowing every drive to operate at its full PCIe lane width when installed in a compatible system.

This makes it an excellent value solution for enthusiasts, workstations, servers and homelab systems that already support PCIe x4/x4/x4/x4 bifurcation.

Your motherboard BIOS must support:

PCIe x4 / x4 / x4 / x4 lane bifurcation

Without bifurcation support, one drive, or possibly none of the installed SSDs, may be detected.
