This Singer Featherweight "222K" free arm sewing machine is said to be the "finest Singer model ever produced".

Please be aware that the machine is wired for UK voltage and it would need to be checked and PAT tested by a qualified electrician if you intend to use it.

The machine is in "as found" condition, it has retained much of its' original black paint finish and gilt decoration, however, there are a number of chips to the balance wheel rim, as well as rubbing to the gilt decoration on one side of the bed, scratches, scuffs, wear and use marks that you would expect from a used item.
The chrome work has retained its' finish and it is bright.
The front of the machine slides out well and the retaining bolt is present.
The front folds up and down a it should, however, it is a little loose and doesn't stay upright.
The bobbin case is present, however, the light doesn't work.
The machine works and runs when the foot controller is used, this has its' original cable and will require re wiring before use.
There is an applied metal label to the motor with "Converted to 230/250 volts. Date 1/63"
We haven't tried to sew with the machine.
The rubber feet are all missing, but the machine sits flat.
I have tried to show the condition in the photographs
The serial number is EK 323487 dating it to March 1955.
It has its' instruction book, this has a tape repair to the cover and a number of accessories in a box.
The case has scuffs and marks, the catches work, however, the catch to one side is a little bent and loose at the top, the handle is well attached.
