Vintage

~ "Snipe" ~
Live Steam Speedboat.
This "Bowman" "Snipe" speedboat or launch dates to the 1930's and it has its' box and it is in "as found" condition and would be ideal for repair or spares.
The boat hull has been repainted at some point and the cowl to the front appears to be a replacement.
There are no cracks or splits to the hull, however, there are two replacement bolts to the engine mount through the bottom of the hull.
The steam boiler has not been tested and the burner is missing.
The prop, fly wheel and piston only partly turn, before it sticks.
The brass guard over the prop is present and the rudder moves as it should when the handle is moved.
The rear removable wooden cover to stern has a replacement "Bowman" logo.
The boat does have scuffs and marks.
The boat measures 58.5 cm (23 inches) long.
The original box is missing part of its lid, but it is attached with it's wire hinges, the black lettering to either end is still clear and legible.
The stands are not included.
