Stock-Watch92

I Am Starting This Auction With A Low Opening Bid And NO RESERVE Pluse FREE SHIPPING So You Set The Price!!!  I currently have a large assortment of items for sale.  Please have a look at all my items and let me know if you have any questions.

This Vintage Timepiece was manufactured by Martin of London.  It comprises a sterling silver inner and outer case and a Lever Escapment Fusee movement.

This watch starts with an 18 size, two-piece sterling silver plain polished case.  The case is marked with the Lion Passant hallmark denoting a .925 Sterling Silver content.  The Anchor in the lower left of the marks signifies an assay mark for Birmingham, England and the W.H.H. markings identifies the case maker.

The movement is marked "Martin London" with a serial number 15774.  The serial number along with the style of movement and markings on the case put the manufacturing date of this watch likely between 1790-1820.

The plain porcelain dial is marked with black roman hour chapters.  I can find no hairlines or chips on the dial.  It is quite clean.  The original crystal is missing from the case and needs to be replaced.

The movement is an early Verge Escapement Fusee that uses a chain driven barrel and sprocket mechanism that aided in keeping time as the main spring wore down.   There are several watch maker case papers in the back cover denoting regular servicing of the watch.

Currently, this watch is NOT RUNNING and in need of repair.  Hence, it is being sold "as is".  No winding key will be included with the watch.  As such, I am starting this piece off at a low opening bid with no reserve, so you set the price.
