The cutting edge has NO chips or nicks on it (see pics & vid). The original hickory handle has 2 cracks on it, that start at the top of the handle (see all pics & vid). The makers mark C.E. JENNINGS TRADE MARK with an arrow head, is super nice and clear (see all pics & vid). The chisel is 6" long from the cutting edge to the top of the socket. And has an overall length of 9-1/4" long. And weighs in at a hefty 7.6 oz. (nearly a 1/2 pound).
