The Sikorsky S-76 is one of the most successful executive and corporate helicopters of the modern turbine era — an intermediate-class twin-engine aircraft with retractable landing gear, four-bladed main and tail rotors, first announced at the HAI convention in February 1975.
It went on to become a major platform for VIP transport, offshore oil support, EMS, and government operations — and N595ST is documented in S-76B production history.
Jeffrey C. Evans (1945–2025) was a respected helicopter historian, researcher, and photographer based in Southern California, and a long-term member of both the Vertical Flight Society and Vertical Aviation International.
He co-authored The Bell 47 Helicopter Story: Birth of the Commercial & Military Helicopter Industry with Robert S. Petite. This item was acquired as part of a group of helicopter photographs, slides, manuals, and aviation archive material purchased from his California estate in 2026.
