Almost full service history. Workshop receipts for most parts. Had its full service spring 2026. Two brand new rear tyres. Two new front springs and mounts. Flexi hoses on the brakes. One new calliper. Just fitted new gas springs to the boot lid.
Has a couple of issues:
Passenger front door lock sticks when the weather is warm. A replacement will come with the car. You just need to fit it.
Car has the MK 5 tdi hot start problem. We have replaced a number of parts including the starter motor and the glow plugs.
Car has another MK 5 issue. Revs increase at standstill 800 to 1000. Tried a new throttle body.
May need a new battery.
Passenger side front wing is new but unfortunately has some taxi damage. The roof also a dent from falling masonry.
With a bit more tidying the car should make a future collectable. Drives very well, daily driver used throughout the winter. We have bought a younger Golf so "Gloria" needs a new loving home.
