The Rowley, Iowa Rock Island Railroad Depot was built in 1873 as part of the Burlington, Cedar Rapids, and Northern Railway. The depot served as a major shipping and passenger hub for northeast Iowa for decades before passenger service and the Rock Island line transitioned to history.
