This listing is for an antique 1907 bronze medal commemorating Adam Politzer, a Hungarian Jewish Doctor and one of the founders of Otology, the study of the ear (hearing). This was made by the Jewish Hungarian sculptor and medalist Eduardo Telcs. Raoul Wallenberg helped to prevent Telcs' deportation to a Nazi extermination camp. This plaque was issued in 1907 upon Adam Politzer’s retirement as the director of the otology clinic at the Vienna General Hospital. The medal is dated at the bottom in Roman numerals for 1907. 

This bronze medal measures 2 11/16" x 1 11/16" and weighs 86 grams.

Obverse: Pictures the right facing bust of Politzer. The artist's last name "TELCS" appears to the bottom left of bust. Captioned at the bottom "ADAMO POLITZER / PROFESSORI CLARISSIMO / AURIUM SCIETIA PER IX / LUSTRA I UNIV. VINDOB. / DOCTORI / DISCIPULI GRATISSIMI / MCMVII".
